Dr. Smolen is a hero! I had what could have been an emergency with my dog on a Saturday evening while all vets were closed. My closest option was a 2.5 hour drive away. Dr. Smolen walked me through some diagnosis over text and made himself available. I couldn’t not have had a better experience!

I often need massage due to chronic pain pain points that flair up and usually look for deep pressure to tackle the pain. There was something uniquely different about my experience with Tracy. She used a combination of light to moderate pressure and gently worked at the source of my pain. I felt as if I were being healed through her gentle but effective touch. While traveling to Telluride, I overdid it and triggered an old injury in my back. The pain was so bad that I could not stand up straight or walk. I regularly get acupuncture at home in Philadelphia so I knew immediately I needed to find an acupuncturist in Telluride. After some online research, I called LuvLight and left a voicemail. Jane called me back within an hour and scheduled me for that evening. The office was very easy to find, located within a shared building on S. Pine Street. Jane is very friendly and welcoming. I felt extremely comfortable in the space and in her presence. She assessed my pain, asking questions to better understand. She explained her plan for my treatment and we got started! I found that the room had a consistently comfortable temperature. I loved Jane's us of sound healing and the suggested meditations she offered to focus my mind on something besides the pain in my back. At the end of my appointment, Jane provided me with some supplies to get me through the rest of the day until I could come back for another appointment the next morning. Since my pain continued to decrease with each visit, Jane and I agreed I should come daily while I was still in town so I could prepare my body for the upcoming flight back home. It has been almost a week since I first saw Jane at LuvLight and I am in a far better place than I would have been without her. I am now mobile, walking and standing up straight with less pain. I sincerely appreciate all of the time Jane made for me this past week. She is incredibly knowledgeable and caring. If you are new to acupuncture or a seasoned veteran, LuvLight is the perfect place for your treatment.

For my specific build John Michael recommended a laminate wood floor which I'm very happy with the look and quality. Highly recommended.

Studio G and their providers are so knowledgeable and amazing! For years and years I struggled with my acne and could not find a single solution to help me. Telluride gymnastics has been the best place EVER for both of my kiddos. Their gymnastics and ninja programs are incredible. The coaches are amazing, dedicated, kind and encouraging. Their gym has been a place of growth physically and mentally for my children!! Highly recommend for both local families and those coming from out of town or just for the summer
Sarah did my wedding day hair and it was beautiful! I came from out of town and she was able to do a trial right before the day of and worked around my schedule. We did a sunrise hike, so Sarah came to do my hair at 3am which I am so grateful for! The hair stayed all day from 4am-10pm, even though a 5 mile hike! I highly recommend Sarah!
I went to Gabrielle for a spray tan before a wedding I attended in California. The tan was so even and was exactly what I wanted and imagined. Highly recommend tanning with Gabrielle. At a later date I went to Gabrielle for makeup services to attend a family reunion dinner. I would have never been able to achieve what I wanted but Gabrielle made it so easy. She is lovely and talented.
We have been truly amazed at the transformation from the way the cabin looked when we bought it to what it is today. Sloan did an outstanding job planning the renovation, coordinating with the contractor and subs, selecting options for us and seeing it through to completion. Gary and I are extremely pleased with the outcome. I know it was frustrating at times with all the challenges of the supply chain, COVID, delays and workers. Carpet Caretakers have been taking care cleaning our carpet in Telluride for almost 10 years . They do a great job . I would recommend them highly !
Chris the service technician was outstanding; friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable about all things plumbing related. He and Wesley his assistant were able to quickly diagnose and fix both our toilet and shower drains which were clogged, with detailed explanations and even drainpipe videos to show what they'd done.Thanks to this great experience with Chris I plan to hire Controlled Hydronics again to replace an old toilet and for a future full bathroom remodel. Easy online booking. Adriana was very kind and did an excellent job on my manicure and pedicure. The nail area is cozy and has a big window with a great view.
Doehling Law did an incredible job for us. After our severe injury accident they helped us navigate the complicated process of getting our medical bills paid by auto insurance and Medicare. They then negotiated a large monetary settlement from our "underinsured motorist coverage". We did not even know this money was available to us and would otherwise have "left it on the table". Doehling kept us informed at all times and always responded rapidly to any questions. They met with us as needed and made the whole process much less stressful than it otherwise would have been. We highly recommend them without reservation!
This would have been all 5's with the exception of poor communication. We called to verify our reservation for 2 adjacent rooms with connected access based on our special needs son. This communicated arrival at 2pm. We called the day of arrival to communicate we would be there at 1pm, there was no indication of one of the rooms not being ready. We waited a small amount of time and had access to one of the rooms. We were told the other room would be available soon. Four hours later we were told the other room had a confirmed checkout of 4pm and they would need to turn the room. We wasted the first day waiting to get access and settle in. Had we known it would be after 6pm we would have planned differently. The management was very responsive but non the less spoiled our day 1. The location and facilities are fantastic, despite the AC failing overnight and causing rough sleeping.
Rooms: Great comfortable rooms, dog friendly.
Nearby activities: Too much to list and free tram to town.
Food & drinks: Lots of great food options at the location and 15min gondola to town.

I heard it said "come for the winters, stay for the Summer..." Will we return yes. This trip we had our 10 and 12 yr old sons, we flew into Denver, rented a car and traveled to The Peaks Resort. It actually wasn't bad, but next time I'd fly into Albuquerque since we saw the Denver to Telluride scenery now. Customer Service | From the valet staff to the concierge, coffee shop, spa, and restaurant staff, we received some great welcoming services. We ate multiple meals at the restaurant. I enjoyed the elk. The rest of the food was perhaps a bit high for what we received. Food Allergies | Huge shout out to the chef and staff at Altezza. The chef came out to speak with us about our boys food allergies to help us all feel better. We ordered steaks with salt and pepper, broccolini with olive oil and steamed rice. I mentioned the rooms below, but our boys also enjoyed the game room, and we did do a couple loads of laundry in their self service laundry room. It worked out great for us. Finally check out the pictures and videos because you can't beat the views from Mountain Village and The Peaks Resort. Grocery Store | the mountain village grocery store was incredible for a family with many food allergies. It also had great fresh produce and the staff were very helpful. The pours and cocktails were reasonably priced at the bar and I was able to try a few local whiskey brands. Travis was a great bar tender and remembered my everytime I walked in. See video of bar Food & Drinks See above comments for more information too. The service at the restaurant was fantastic from Travis behind the bar, to the restaurant staff. If you stay there kids 10 and under eat free. I appreciated the restaurant and bar hours were later and allowed for flexibility in when to eat. There are other restaurants outside of the resort, and you can get meals at the grocery store as well. Finally, take the Free gondolas into Telluride and there are some great spots to wine and dine there too. Walkability We walked to the Telluride Whiskey Company tasting room (5 min), but many other places were also very close like shopping, Gondolas and other dining / drinking spots. We didn't get a chance to visit many of these with kids, but I think there would be no issues for a group of adults to have a good time in the village. Also there is a grocery store which you could walk to but we drove each time. Nearby Activities We took day trips and only spent one day at the resort to take advantage of the pool, hot tubs, and sauna. Everything is about 1-2.5 hours away. The first day we visited the Ourey Hot Springs; which was nice to come down in elevation and the kids enjoyed the hot springs. The next day we traveled to Mesa Verde and and then drove to the Four Corners. The last day trip was to Durango for rafting. In mountain village take the gondolas to telluride!
