all about money and racking up a bill, zither scheduler is a real rude asshat, asked about a certain Dr , as every time I get someone different and 10 different opinions, She said "All booked for weeks' ok so who else is available on the subject, ? she replies All our vets are emergency vets if you want someone to come out" Me" oh so no matter what there is an extra emergency fee on top of your travel fee and already high prices and to date they don't know what is wrong with my horse? Well I don't know she says' , F you failed lady
Over the years LEC has had a monopoly on large animal care in the SW region of Metro Denver, and due to the scarcity of large animal care, this clinic has enjoyed little to no over site of their policies and procedures. The managing partners have lost touch with the needs of the community, the cost for far too many animals in need are out of reach. All businesses need to operate at a profit, however when profits are vast and care for animals in need in short supply, the scale is tipped and fiduciary responsibilities are dismissed. My personal experience with this establishment has been tentative at best. 15 years ago a beloved horse received a joint injection, the procedure was not sterile and the horse suffered a joint infection, which is a very serious medical condition. The vet that performed the procedure refused to accept responsibility for the botched injection and billed full charge for the substandard service. Another vet was brought in to save the horse and when we requested the fee be covered by the vet that mishandled the procedure, the request was denied Since that time we have refused care from that veterinarian. Over the years we have spend more that $100,000 on services at this hospital for our herd of rescue horses. During this time I have observed many mistakes made by the staff. When the mistakes were brought to staff attention, we were banned from visiting our horses. We simply brought the mistakes to staff attention to ensure the best possible care for our horses. We have been met with angst, and hostility from the staff at this hospital for being our horses medical advocates. Seems fragile egos and CYA policies to protect the reputation are more important that learning from staff mistakes. Today we called with an emergency, 7-old horse colicing, and we were refused care. We have always paid our bills, have no outstanding balance and are respectful while not always in agreement with policies. If you have a differing opinion about policy, this clinic is not willing listen, in fact you may be blackballed as we are. We are driving from Littleton to Fort Collins now with a horse in emergent need of medical Intervention, hoping she can make the trip. Shame on the egocentric nature of this hospital and their entire management team. Placing poor policies over animal care and denying care to an animal in need is unconscionable.
Fantastic care and facility. Professional doctors providing state of the art medicine. Excellent service. Wonderful bedside manner. Could not recommend more highly. Client for life!
