I'm writing this review a little late but I thought it was more relevant in my case to speak of long term results. Grace, my very athletic Foxhound mix blew out her knee while playing. She was still young enough to where surgery was an option. Dr Peila explained the procedure and follow up for a plate in her knee. Not an inexpensive surgery- but they helped us to secure some financing options for it. I'm so glad we had this done. My dog has recovered 100%. It has been two years now and she has a quality of life she would have without Dr. Peila's help. GOOD JOB TEAM!
I have been taking my cats (and dog, when we had him) to Dr. Peila at Valley Vet for 20 years, and he has always explained everything clearly and thoroughly, answered all my questions, given good advice, and taken excellent care of my critters. He is honest and compassionate. The prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly, professional, and caring, and most importantly I trust Dr. Peila.
They’ve been raising their prices, which puts a strain on me. That’s the reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.
That said, Dr. McComb is great. She is thorough and careful with my 17 year old, ornery cat. She makes recommendations and answers my questions. She is patient with both me and my cat. My kitty is difficult but Dr. McComb takes her in stride. Thank you.
