I have been going to Chris for a few years now. He helped fix my hip pain due to a twisted sacrum and got my left shoulder that was freezing up on me to loosen up so there is rarely pain and most of the range of motion has returned. Much better then what physical therapy managed to do for me. My right shoulder is now causing pain and restricted motion so he has been working on it with much success. He is always researching ways to work on my body's issues as they keep changing. If at first he does not succeed he will find another way to attack the problem until it is solved.
Chris Downing is a sole practitioner in this massage therapy practice and he is simply a miracle worker. I have been going to him weekly for more than a month to rehab a hamstring injury from Crossfit and he is giving me hope that resuming long distance running without severe pain and weakness is in my near future. Chris charges a fraction of what I have paid for resort massages that were half as good as his therapudic body work. I have been seeing him for a very specific sports injury that makes wearing a foundation garment necessary. I wear spandex shorts and a sports bra which allows him to still go deep in my glutes, hips and hamstrings, but makes us both comfortable. Once I get my injury addressed, I'll be switching to more of a relaxation/wellness massage and I will feel comfortable stripping down and covering up with the typical sheet/draping. It just depends on your comfort level and he can work either way. The other clients I see at Chris' practice range from senior citizens who need mobility work to other athletes who need focused rehab. Chris has managed to quickly get improvement in my hamstring when more than a year of both Western and Eastern medicine came up short. I wish my 76-year-old mother lived here so Chris could help her with her aches and pains. I truly believe it would give her a new lease on life. It has for me! The building is a small office complex for a variety of small businesses. It's a convenient downtown location with a surface parking lot of its own. I get there and Chris plays some gentle soothing massage tunes and gets to work on my injury lickety split. If you wanna get better; do yourself a favor and book some time. I was living in Denver when I first started coming to see Chris because of a personal recommendation from someone who went to him when he was recovering from a detached bicep. I wouldn't make that drive for just any massage, but Chris is worth it. Another friend has seen Chris following a car accident and he worked wonders on her.
