A traditional karate dojo that is a great experience for both kids and adults. There is a strong sense of community, discipline, and a sense accomplishment for students as they progress. My son is excited to come to every class and I never feel pressured that he is getting behind. I would recommend this dojo for any new students of any age that are curious of a unique and fantastic experience

I am so grateful to have found Denwakan in Lakewood.It is a traditional Japanese Karate dojo. Sensei Kurubane and his team are wonderful instructors. Both with children and adults.There are very few instructors like Sensei left and we are very lucky to have him so close to home. 100% recommendedI’m grateful to have found Denwakan in Lakewood. If you want to learn Karate in a genuinely traditional way, this is the place. Sensei Kurobane is incredibly experienced, perceptive, and truly cares that all his students are continuing to improve and learn.
