“This review is difficult for me. I had an amazing haircut. Every time I come to this Great clips I get an amazing haircut. But the "manager", says her name is Yung, is a terrible person. She is rude to every single person that she speaks to. Then says she does not care. She put her hands on my child and pushed him away from the blinds instead of asking him not to touch them. She was extremely rude to the other customers that were in the store looked down on her employees and talked to them like they were beneath her. I would never I repeat. Never let her touch a hair on my head and you couldn't pay me enough money to work underneath her. This woman and her attitude will end up causing this location a lot of customers to walk out. I would love to come back here but definitely not when she is working. I would suggest you find a different manager. Everyone that was in the store today was complaining about her. When I asked her about it, she called my kids liars. Extremely unprofessional!“

“Dominique did an amazing job! This was my first time visiting Merlan Salon Boutique & Spa, and I will definitely be going back. I had partial highlights and a cut done. Dominique took her time, asked a lot of questions about what I wanted, and my hair looked beautiful. The salon is so cute, clean, and welcoming. Bonus points for having Jude, the salon dog, greet you at the door.“

“I've been waiting for a salon of this calibre to open up in Platt Park since we moved here 4 years ago, so naturally I had to check it out asap.

I was booked with Kat and she was fantastic. Really funny, super attentive, and meticulous with her work.

Exactly what I asked for and what I envisioned. And the cost was really reasonable. I'm so over spending $500-$600 on a cut and color.

About 10 minutes into my service I was also offered a hand massage by the esthetician... I was in heaven. I ended up booking a last minute eyebrow and tint with her. Will be booking her for a facial soon!

Cynthia is my usual (very talented) stylist, but her colleagues have filled in for her when circumstances required, and I've never been disappointed. I am frequently complimented on my hair color and cut by total strangers, no small feat when you're at the age where women are routinely ignored. Cynthia listened to me from the beginning, and didn't try to fit me in the box for "women my age." Maree, the owner, is always eager to meet client needs, from providing Covid precautions to juggling schedules for emergencies. The stylists routinely engage in classes to update their techniques. It's a very professional and modern shop with a family feel, and I can't praise it highly enough.“

“I can’t say enough good things about Ravyn! She is an incredible colorist - she lightened my hair from almost black to a gorgeous brown with highlights in just one session, and I’m loving it. I usually don’t like the in-between stages of going light, but this time it’s perfect and is much less brassy than the previous times I have gone from dark to light. Ravyn’s balayage technique is on point. I’m definitely going to keep lightening it up because it looks so good. Highly recommend her!

Pauline and her assistant were so incredible! Pauline was so organized and well planned/ responsive leading up to the wedding! And the two of them did such an incredible job with my hair and makeup in addition to my girls hair and makeup! I wouldn't take any other stylist over Pauline and her associates!
