He participated in puppy camp at 12 weeks old and completed the board/train program at 7 months. We are all SO happy with his results - he absolutely loved his time at Blackpaw and rec'd such great care and attention during his stay. At pick up, our entire family was given a very personalized lesson on how to 'cement' the training once back home. “My sweet boy just spent two weeks with Heidi, and we adore her! She really put my mind at ease (my dog isn't the only one with separation anxiety here; I was a mess), and she took care of Gus like he was her own. Her love for animals really shines through. Plus there are so many exciting smells on the property with the other animals who live there! That's great enrichment all on its own. “Where do I begin? Sheila and Robert deserve a lot more than 5 stars! I came into her lessons because I was not content with the lessons I was receiving from another barn (nothing against them, I just stalled in my training). I was a new rider at 28, and from day one, Sheila greeted me with a smile and an openness to understand my goals and how she could help me achieve them. Her horses are well-kept, happy, and safe. There is multiple horses for all skill levels, and Sheila will make sure that you feel comfortable, she offers opportunities to progress on new horses when she feels you're ready, and she will also push you to keep progressing! She does this through constant feedback, reassurance when needed, and a calm demeanor. You're never REQUIRED to do anything, but she will ask if you "want to try" this, that, or the other thing. If there is something that you need to keep progressing, she will make it happen. I couldn't imagine ever riding at a different barn! Sheila's knowledge is priceless, and each lesson offers a plethora of it! Thank you guys for everything you do for us! It does not go unnoticed!“

“We've been going to Devon's since we first got our St. Bernard pup (almost 3 years ago) for puppy training, daycare, and boarding. He was essential in helping us with initial puppy training as we were both new to St. Bernards. Our pup came back to us with all sorts of great puppy manners and Devon even worked with us personally for a couple hours to make sure that we kept up with our pup's training. Our pup loves going to daycare to be with all her friends and is always tuckered out when we bring her home. Devon has been very helpful and so accommodating when he watches our pup for us when we need to travel. He's always asking about our pup, how things are going at home, and checks in with us regularly. Despite their busy schedules, I absolutely trust Devon and his team with our furry family member. I know that they will always make the time to take the best care of her.“
