This Efficient House

ThisEfficientHouse did a marvelous job with adding greater efficiency to the insulation in attics and crawl space of our home. The bid process was easy and Mike’s knowledge of the pros and cons of various materials was extremely helpful in deciding what to do. The crew was also very well prepared and helpful in explaining what they were doing and why. They took lots of pictures to show us progress. Best of all they found a major problem with the ductwork in our crawl space. The HVAC company had just been out for a spring check-up, but didn’t see that the main duct in the crawl space that connects to all the individual ducts in the house had fallen down about 6” and was no longer connected to any floor registers in that half of the house. We were delighted to have them fix this.\nOnly negative is that they are so busy it was hard to get on their schedule!\nJob very well done. Would highly recommend.

Mike’s energy audit of our house went way beyond our expectations.He used high tech equipment to look at everything and everywhere. His report prioritized opportunities for us to improve efficiency. We followed up by having him change our furnace filter to two two inch filters. He was professional in his work that was high quality.It was difficult getting an exact schedule for the filter work, but when done, it was done right.

We had Mike replace a 40-year-old attic fan with a high tech new modern one. While here, he suggested that we could optimize our energy efficiency and comfort by adding to, and leveling the attic insulation, and sealing some drafts in the attic. He also changed our furnace air filter figuration to dramatically increase our cooling output. All this has made our house way more comfortable.
