We have visited this emergency vet for each of our two dogs once over the last few years. Each time it was when our dog got into something like chocolate that they shouldn't have. Obviously prices are maybe higher than your average vet clinic due to it being after hours/emergency but they also really save lives and do everything they can for your fur babies. The first time we went the waiting room was kinda busy but they took our dog back immediately while we filled out paperwork. She ingested chocolate and they immediately did what they needed to, to make sure she was safe. The second visit we were the only ones there so our dog was also taken back immediately. Each visit the doctor herself came out to tell us the plan of action and answer any questions. Price is not discussed at this time because they are doing what is necessary in the emergency situation. After the vet goes over the plan with you they go back and get to work and you checkout and get your itemized bill. The entire process both times has been fairly fast and I really appreciate the doctor coming out to talk to you and make sure every question is answered. They also will contact your normal vet and give them records so the next day my vet followed up with us as well as VRCC. I hope no one ever has to use this service but if the time comes that your dog is in trouble them this is the place to go
Our pup was referred to cardiology. Making the appointment was easy and I called at the end of the day and got a next morning appointment. The receptionist immediately called our local vet for background information. The appointment was good. The facility was clean, human snacks were offered, and we felt at home. My dog loved everyone and they all took time to greet and pet him.
I had a great experience with the doctors and staff at VRCC. They have a very difficult job, dealing with extremely sick and injured pets, and their anxious owners. My dear old dog was hospitalized for a day before I had to make the tough decision. They gave me good concise direct information, and care for my pup. While I never want to go through letting a pet go again, I probably will, and I would not hesitate to go to VRCC.
