Bearcat Stables, established in 1998, offers horseback riding experiences for all ages and durations. Situated on the historic Bearden Homestead, visitors can explore the Cordillera Valley while learning about its history and wildlife. The stables have been recognized as one of the top stables in the Vail Valley and have been featured in various magazines. The owner and guide, known for her expertise and passion for horses, provides a memorable experience for guests. While the horseback riding and scenery are highly praised, some guests have expressed dissatisfaction with the food provided. The stables are known for their friendly staff, calm horses, and beautiful trail rides with great views. Visitors often enjoy the open trails with lots of ups and downs, making it a fun adventure for beginners and experienced riders alike. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring everyone feels comfortable, even for those who have never been on a horse before. Guests have enjoyed the scenic rides, spotting deer and elk, and the overall lovely experience. The location is also perfect for groups of friends or family with young or older kids, offering memorable moments like a sleigh ride through the mountains with some of the biggest horses ever seen, complemented by warm spiked apple cider and s'mores at the fire pit. After riding, many guests relax at the Bearcat Saloon, where they can enjoy some delicious drinks and continue the enjoyable day.
