Chelsea was so good about keeping us updated with his progress. We came home to a "new" dog. We can't get over how effective his training was with Chelsea and Pavlov's. It is now a pleasure to take Charlie on walks. He is responsive to commands. Chelsea has been such a pleasure to work with - so upbeat and so encouraging. We can't recommend this program enough.“

2393 S Olive St, Denver“I contacted Zac to work with our 4 month old micro mini golden doodle. From the minute he walked in the door he started working with her(us) and getting results very quickly. It was amazing observing him working with our Piper.
So much was packed into the session. I’m thankful he sends follow-up notes on what we learned.
Zac responds promptly to any text I have sent. Great communication between Zac and client.
I’m looking forward to putting our new training skills to use.
I highly recommend Zac.“

720 S Colorado Blvd Ph N Ste 1357, Denver“We're really happy we went with Dion at Ancillary K9! We loved our adopted really reactive 90lb German Shepherd, but life was getting very difficult because of his behavioral issues. We stopped being able to take him places with us and it was really limiting his (and our) quality of life, and we were always worried about something awful happening. After completing the training with Dion, our dog handles any situation much better, and we're much better equipped to understand his behavior and know what we have to do to help him. Our dog is so much happier as a result, and we're able to take him on adventures that he loves.Dion really cares about you and your dog's success. He had no problem when we needed a few extra classes to complete the training, and encouraged us to reach out even after the course was completed if we had any questions or wanted to attend a refresher course.Parts of the course may be emotionally difficult if you're new to dog training because some aversive methods are part of the course. I used to be opposed to aversive methods too, so if you're on the fence I understand where you're coming from. But ultimately the discomfort from those methods last a brief second in your dog's overall life, and in exchange the boundaries and expectations that were set help him move through life with greater confidence and understanding. He still has all of his adventurous and loving energy, and seems way more relaxed when he's out and about. He probably actually has way more adventurous energy now that he's not tensing up and preparing to lunge whenever he sees a dog, and can focus on enjoying his time with us and new smells and sticks.Dion understood dog behavior and body language better than any trainer we'd ever worked with before, and our relationship with our dog is much deeper than it was before this course.A big thank you to Dion, and if we ever have a friend who is really struggling with a reactive dog, we would definitely recommend Ancillary K9 to them!“

They did such a wonderful job and would recommend them to anyone within the Denver area to help train their dog. Echo doesn't pull on her leash anymore and comes when given the command. She also sits stays and heels perfectly. Thank you k9Denver!!“

4220 Jason St Unit B, Denver“Juliet is a miracle worker. Our Hannibal (yes, Hannibal Lecter) was extremely dog reactive. When he was young he had a couple of bad experiences at dog parks and with other dogs that caused him to be one of the worst reactivity cases she had seen. When I moved to Colorado and was in an apartment... every single day was a struggle for Hannibal and I. He would lunge, bark, and actually pull me to the point of falling on-leash while trying to get to other dogs. At one point, when he had to go to the vet, the vet even mentioned \\\"you better not get another dog, because he'll kill it\\\" due to how he reacted towards other dogs. One week with Juliet was completely transformative for him. She gave us the tools, the techniques, and the confidence to handle Hannibal. When I moved Hannibal and I back to Texas and moved him in with an intact male that he had never met before, I was so scared with how he would react. But with slow introductions, leashed walks, and patience, the boys love each other tremendously. Hannibal is much more stable, confident dog and he doesn't pull me down the street and lunge at other dogs anymore. Juliet has a great understanding of animals and working through different issues. The only regret I have is that I didn't find her sooner!“

We are so happy that the staff at Bear Valley love our Nellie like she is their own !!!! Thank you Bear Valley staff!“

2000 W 8th Ave, Denver“[edit] Understaffed and higher turnover than many others which leads to staff not really knowing procedure, causing up to 20min wait times, obscure charges, and not honoring reasonable requests or expectations. Pressures for tips at checkouts but it’s unclear if my dog actually gets what’s agreed on (like food specifics or pool time). Everyone is friendly and it’s still a good option, but I’m better off making the drive to the many options in surrounding areas for better service at a better price.
***
My dog Tank loves this place, we’ve been going for the past year. he’s excited to get dropped off and he is much calmer and more content in the days after I pick him up because he got so much human attention and stimulation! The staff is overjoyed to see him and everyone recognizes him and knows his name.
They’ve had staffing issues before which has lead to confusion and disagreement on billing and services, but recently the place seems to have been doing much better, and is much more organized.“
“I can't recommend Art of the Dog enough. I brought my energetic year-old Labrador here, as we'd been struggling with some leash reactivity and learning to settle at home and in public areas. It's been about a week since she's been home after 3 weeks with AOTD and there's been a noticeable difference in her behavior, while still having her goofy fun personality. It was apparent the entire staff truly care about the wellbeing of every dog and want to see them succeed.
I'd been considering a few other programs in the area, but what ultimately sold me on AOTD was having them as a resource for the rest of my pup's life, with no added cost. So if we want any additional 1:1 sessions, or have questions with continuing her training, I can count on them. I'm incredibly grateful for the trainers and staff here.“
