I recently took my puppy to Dr. Sandel for an exam due to concerns about urinating in the house and loss of appetite. Dr. Sandel was very through and gentle in her examination, getting down on the floor with my puppy so as not to frighten her by putting her on the table. She did lab work which confirmed a urinary tract infection and started antibiotics. She explained options and alternatives and the cost for each choice. She also approved of my suggestion that I start my puppy on a home-cooked diet and provided resources for guidance. Very happy with her treatment plan and "bedside manner." :)

We've been taking our slightly neurotic rescue dachshund/norwich terrier mix for the last couple years.. Dr. Shelley, as well as the whole staff, are wonderful, with her... and with me! On top of that, the office itself is clean and bright, and, I'm not sure how they do it -- it doesn't smell. Love this place -- and it's people!

Dr. Shelly is the best veterinarian in town. Not only is the care at Northfield the best you can receive, their bedside manner is beyond all expectations, their expertise is incomparable, they are friendly and helpful, and all around good people. If Dr. Shelly doesn't have the answers, she will research the issue to find them. She has spent countless hours helping us figure out the strange things my boys seem to encounter or contract. I have been going to Dr. Shelly for 13 years now and would never go to another vet. She has treated all 5 of our labs during this 13 year period.
