A patient has had a journey with two doctors, one in Plastics and the other in Surgical Oncology, who have been instrumental in their healthcare experience that changed rapidly and dramatically. The doctors are praised for their patience, detailed explanations, kindness, and understanding of the emotional toll on the patient and their family. The nurses and staff are also commended for their support and responsiveness. However, there have been issues with construction at a specific location, causing parking difficulties. Over many years, another individual has had consistently outstanding experiences with Kaiser Permanente. The care received has been of super high quality and extremely efficient, with appointments rarely running late. The model of having insurance and medical care under the same entity is highly appreciated for its preventive care approach and lack of surprise bills. Despite some people's dislike for the network requirement, the reviewer has been very happy with their doctors and would be part of a Kaiser fan club if it existed.
Kaiser does the job but it always does it in a laizyfair kind of way. They expect us to be on time but are NEVER on time themselves. I listened to a nurse today dress down an older man for being 30 minutes late for his appointment. She was flustered and said they were going to rush him through. Yet, while she was complaining about his being late, I had been waiting to see a different doctor for 25 minutes past my appointment time. Then I waited 20 minutes past my apt time for an X-ray. Any feeling of personal or personalized service is lost in an HMO. I'm a name a number to be called and I never "know" anybody. My GP changes every six months and I get a random letter telling me who my new doctor is. Six months later, it happens again. Without end. It is what it is but it's never exceptional or even good.
Dr. Kiehn in Plastics and Dr. Neff in Surgical Oncology have been a intricate part of my journey when my lived health experience as I'd become accustomed changes rapidly and dramatically last year. I appreciate their patience, their willingness to go above the basic informational brief and explain in detail at the level of my expectation, and more importantly, their kindness and gentleness with the realist of the emotional toll this journey can take for myself and my immediate and extended family. Thank you to the Nurses and Staff who do an amazing job supporting them in this work and their responsiveness to my emails and health care management. Keep doing such great work because your passion for it shows!
With all things considering, Franklin has been under a lot of construction, it's still coming along very slowly. I didn't know that the entire parking garage was close down and had to park elsewhere. Thank goodness I am able body that can walk, but feel sorry for anyone else who can't. . I
