Denver Animal Shelter is an amazing place. 2 and a half years ago I adopted my best friend from them. I was reminded of them because I recently went to check for another cat for my parents. They were so accommodating and asked all the right questions. I went in close to close and they still made an exception and let me meet with a cat. They delicately explained all the information on the cat and made sure I was informed. They truly care about their animals. I am forever grateful they introduced me to my cat I have now. They have adoptions down and give you plenty of time and space to meet with animals.

Adopted my cat from here. I would have given 5 stars but they told me she was 10 when I found out later at Dumb Friends League that she was 15 yrs old. She was kind of a jerk, but I specialize in jerks and still would have adopted her if I knew she was fifteen. She unfortunately got renal failure a couple years later. My vet wanted to charge over $300 for euthanasia and having someone come to my place would've been $500, which is just cruel. I brought her here and it was $50 which was all I could afford after being laid off a year ago. Even Dumb Friends League charged around $95!

Excellent place. There is a little dog there that I got a few weeks ago and they received him with all the attention and love in the world. I could see it for the worst 5 days on the website and then they removed it. I hope he found a good home.
