After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant, however a family friend said to give Ballard Family Mortuary a try. I am so happy we did. I can't speak for everyone but my family's experience was as good as it could be under the circumstances. My advice would be just to be clear about what you want and what you do not want. The entire process is pretty much up to the family in the wants etc. You can build your services one piece at a time or purchase a package. Also, Mr. Ballard was honest & realistic about what to expect. What more could we ask for? I say give this small business a try. During a very difficult time, Mr. Ballard & staff helped us every step of the way. My Father prepaid his funeral, but not all the additional pieces we wanted to add so there was additional charge. He was polite & showed us exactly what my father prepaid. Thank you Mr. Ballard & staff. I appreciate your help but I hope not to see you again anytime soon.
Sadly, my aunt passed away suddenly and very unexpectedly and Ballard Mortuary provided the services that we needed. We initially reached out to another funeral home that not only failed to respond to an on line inquiry, but they also failed to return a call. Ballard was quick to respond, and took the time to explain what is going on with current cremation delays and why. That was very much appreciated. Though we weren’t in need of extensive services, what we did want and need, Ballard was thorough and caring in getting things done.
