“This company is very good at their jobs, and most importantly they have integrity.
We had a situation with our AC recently. The Furnace Guy Heating and cooling came out to check it out, and did some preventative maintenance. A few weeks later we had what we thought was a minor problem and gave them a call . They returned and after they checked it all out they got us fixed up. After their diagnosis and repair, which took a while, they told us part of this issue was something they thought they should’ve caught on their first visit. After the service tech got on the phone with the office and owner, we were told they would not charge us for the extra service or the supplies.
Because of my job, I’ve dealt with, I think, more than my share of heating and Ac companies, and frankly it’s VERY RARE to find a company where the owner of a company goes above and beyond and keeps a highly trained tech on a job finding what turned out to be a tough diagnosis and then a fix for a problem like ours.

We had already diagnosed the problem, which was caused by a prior company incompetent and dangerous motor installation, causing short circuiting and sparking of the motor wires, against the motor mounts. “Excellent, Honest, and Accurate. Steve came out due to two other companies failing at responding. I called on a Thursday morning due to another company tech calling off. The amazing office manager, listened to my issue and reviewed the technicians scheduled and was able to get us in first thing Friday morning. Not only was Steve on time and professional, he reviewed the One Source Technician notes and concluded nothing was wrong with the system except the One Source technician turned off the breaker and left wire disconnected 2 weeks earlier during a routine inspection. Steve had the wires reset, breaker back on, and everything was blowing ice cold AC. Saving us thousands from a One Source quote for repairs that were not needed on a 5 year old unit. Highly recommend and commend what Steve and the team at Diamondship Mechanical did for my family on such a short notice with honesty. Being a fellow small business owner I was highly impressed.“

I knew after years of use and two pets in the house, that it was in desperate need of cleaning. I.C.E. is the ONLY company (I tried 2 others in previous years) that actually did the cleaning job as it needed to be done!! Steve was super patient and efficient in taking the head apart (a challenging task on a mini-split) to be able to access and remove the wheel and then took it outside for a thorough cleaning.

The mini-split works like new now! The blower fan is again as powerful as it was when the system was new (I had noticed that as time went on, I needed to use a stand fan to move the cool air around the room; Steve explained that a dirty blower wheel can’t run efficiently, so dirt = slow air flow). I wish I hadn’t waited until the end of the season to call I.C.E., but the previous 2 companies essentially implied that cleaning a blower wheel was a monstrous task, so I waited until I could do without air conditioning if something went wrong. In close to an hour, Steve deep-cleaned the one head, and thoroughly checked a 2nd head and the outdoor unit!

I had to call for servicing of my A/C as my tenant said it wasn’t working. Smith was able to schedule an appointment for someone to be out there very quickly. I have the USA membership, if you don’t have it, get it! It’s absolutely worth it! I didn’t have to pay anything for this trip and come to find out it was just a wire that wasn’t engaged.
