“I wish I was better at taking pictures that shows the full gorgeousness of her handwork. All the hair in this pictures where done by her. Plus I’ve had the hair in the pictures for about a month and they’re still pretty. I don’t go anywhere else because of how much I love her work. It’s also a plus when the braider is kind, respectful, and truly caring. It’s so hard to find braiders who actually care about their clients. I already miss her from MD. I booked an appointment with Kim Clay Artistry with no recommendations or expectations before traveling to Colorado Springs. When I sat in her chair, I told her I had two requirements: I didn't want to look like a ghost or a clown. To which she retorted "well it's good because I don't do clown make-up." Kim involved me in the decision-making about what "look" will be best. She worked to enhance my natural gifts, which I appreciated. If you are a person of color, you want to sit in her chair. You won't have to worry that she may not know what to do with your skin tone or she won't have the right shades. Trust me, she knows what she's doing. “She was AMAZING! My mom and I went to get our hair wash cut and blow-dry. She was so good at communicating and was very nice. She made sure with the length before cutting it several times. She made us feel very beautiful and was complimenting us on our hair! I feel so many times when I go to other hair salons that they always want to change your hair so much and they don't tell you what your doing right. But NOT Mariah!
She was so sweet and told us some natural things to help our hair but was not pushy at all!

She was timely and found my home with ease. I asked for a soft glam look and beachy waves for my engagement photo session. She nailed it! She’s very sweet and nice to talk to. Jewels instructed to comb out the waves right before the photos to get the beachy wave look. Everything lasted the entire night and I felt wonderful. ☀️
