About 20 years ago I purchased a Sierra Designs two person backpacking tent. It has served me well over the years. Last year the zipper on the netting separated. I contacted Sierra designs with the hope that I could purchase a replacement zipper. Instead they replaced the zipper at no cost to me. What a great company. They certainly deserve 5 stars for their product and for their support.

Yesterday I posted a very blunt statement about Sierra Designs (SD) and my customer service experience. I would like to announce that SD has contacted me directly and gone out of their way to make things right, actually more than I ever expected. I really appreciate those of you at SD who acted upon my expressed concerns. You are truly showing why you are one of the leaders in this industry when you provide customers, like me, attention with resolved positive outcomes. Thank you for acting honorably and for going above and beyond to stand behind your brand! I appreciate you and think others will too, once they experience the caring attitudes of your team. I have a Sierra Design Orion AST tent that I purchased in Australia a number of years ago from Paddy Palin that I have been extremely pleased with. I now live in the USA and a few weeks ago pulled out the tent to find that the pole cord had dry rotted and in the move a couple of the pole ends had become damaged. I contacted SD and asked if they sold replacement poles. They informed me that the tent had been discontinued but if I sent them the poles they would repair them and re-cord at the cost of $0...that’s right nothing, nada and includes free shipping!!! I received them back within a week. What incredible customer service. I will go out of my way to continue to buy their products in the future. Well done Sierra Design!
