I talked to two other lenders before a friend referred me to Karl. I brought the same information to each person: 1) I'm right on the edge of being able to afford a single family home vs condo, 2) my downpayment amount will increase quickly in about a month or two, 3) I am interested in creative options that might increase my monthly payment but decrease my downpayment. The first two lenders gave me the same boilerplate strategies and suggestions: "20% down and here are the loan limits. That's just how it works." Then when I met with Karl he opened up so many new options. It's like the other lenders weren't even really doing there jobs. He secured just the kind of loan I was looking for and was able to save me thousands of dollars in costs by gaining access to loan limit rates that other lenders were too lazy to look for. Karl was also very quick and communicative throughout the whole process. He was willing to proceed at whatever pace I was comfortable with. All in all, if you just want basic options and obvious strategy, just use some online broker. If you want to see what options you REALLY have, save some money, and have someone working hard for you the whole way, use Karl.
