I am very happy that everyone is so warm and welcoming! It’s a real community. That’s a treasure. Plus the Aikido classes themselves are very inspiring. I look forward to every class.
Though I'd devoted myself to the martial arts for many years it has been been absent from my life for far too long. As an older student I am grateful to have found the Boulder Ki Aikido dojo. Abel Villacorta Sensei (teacher) is a generous instructor who clearly has earned the respect of his students and the Aikido community. If you or anyone you know is contemplating taking up the study and practice of Aikido I do recommend this dojo as the first place to begin.
I love practicing Aikido at One Dojo. As an older woman, I feel more stronger, balanced, focused, and healthier, because of the physical, mental, philosophical underpinnings/spiritual, and community aspects of training. Sensei Villacorta is a masterful teacher and a kind supportive human. I am honored and privileged to be apart of the One Dojo community. If you are like me, you have told yourself, I am too old, too inflexible, too weak, too uncoordinated to begin Aikido -- it is not true. The training is designed to develop greater flexibility, strength, and overall levels of general fitness.
