Dog Days is such an excellent place to board and train, 5 stars are not enough. The land is beautiful, the training facilities excellent; there is ample space to run and play, an amazing pond to swim in on hot summer days, and everything clean and orderly. I brought my 6 month old puppy there for 2 weeks, and she went from a challenging puppy to sweet and responsive. I am so grateful for their experience with many, many dog personalities, to be able to customize my pup's training to her developmental needs, and the ways I lacked understanding how to bring out the best in her. We have taken three Labs to Laurie and staff for training and boarding in the past. Her classes from puppies up to advanced dog training have been invaluable to turning our rambunctious Labs into great family dogs.We also board our dogs there when we are away and our dogs love the beautiful pond with a waterfall and the spacious fenced fields to run in. They have learned appropriate play behavior with all kinds of different dogs and have learned to be polite well trained dogs from Dog Days loving effective training methods.

Our Lab's first stay at Dog Days was at 12 months. We learned, probably just in time, that we needed to change our approach with our training of an especially high energy pup. With the staff's expert guidance, including quick responses to our follow-up questions, we and our pup got on a much better path. We're grateful that Dog Days helped us in fostering calmness and a productive relationship with our pup.

Dog Days is a private training center located in Berthoud, Colorado. It is our mission to empower our clients to learn about their dog’s needs, strengthen their training skills, promote socialization, address behavioral shortcomings, and improve all areas of quality of life for a rewarding relationship between people and their dogs. Laurie Buffington, the owner and chief trainer, teaches people how they can “read” their dogs so they can reinforce desirable behaviors. Laurie believes that training people how to train their dog enables them to create a well-mannered dog that is a pleasure to have around.
