This is a great concept and I believe good organization - but they don't always have their priorities straight. We didn't have the most positive experience last week. I hired Challenge Aspen for 4 days to be with my recently diagnosed Type 1, 7 year old grandson while he was in ski school. Our daughter has skied with Challenge Aspen almost every year since 2011 and it is the highlight of her year. The pros, staff, interns and volunteers make the experience great every time. We had the opportunity this year to also ski at a different resort and adaptive program and, although she had a good time and a couple of the pros were very good it proved to us that Challenge Aspen is the best around.
In particular I can’t say enough good things about the Intern program. The level of training the Interns receive makes the participants lives much easier through the support they provide.

I spent a glorious four days learning to ski with the Challenge Aspen Military Opportunities CAMO program. John Klonowski was our amazing Director. He made sure we had a great time. My instructors Cammie, Olivia and Anne were phenomenal in coaching me and I feel very confident in venturing out on my own. This experience was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am forever grateful to everyone I met.
