As a veteran I came to this clinic so I could get a primary care provider. I wanted a female provider. I was informed that they have no female providers in this office. They have never had a female provider here. The closest place with a female provider is an hour away from me while this clinic is 10-15mins away. I find this absolutely ridiculous. There is a AFB 20 mins from this location. There are veterans all over this area. Women have been serving for a long time now. We should be able to have a doctor we are comfortable with and not have to drive an hour just because I want a female doctor.
VA Outpatient Clinic is a good facility. For being a little clinic they are doing a good job here. The staff here are good. They are nice and attentive to your needs. Also the front desk staff are polite and they really are the front line people to your clients. These guys at the front desk are there to help veterans with their appointments. If the front desk staff is happy everybody will be happy. Also, the veterans here are pretty friendly from my short and brief time here. Keep up the great work everyone. They have their own security officer on station. Which is nice incase of trouble. But having that service available on site is very helpful especially for emergencies. There is plenty of parking at this facility and there isn't a shortage of space. So parking shouldn't be an issue. But I did see that their is a small satellite office for the local college here. I am not sure what influx of student come here but it didn't seem like a lot. Maybe during the beginning on the semester it might get a bit tight on parking but probably not to crazy. On the same street a ways down the road is plenty of shopping stores as well. From the looks of it there are some pretty good places to eat as well. The team here at this VA Outpatient Clinic is great and doing a fine job. Thanks for reading my review.
Nice facility, nice people, unfortunately staffing is only one deep, if your Health provider is not there nobody else can step in and take you. I have been coming here it opened (2010?) and when I came the front lobby I could see the litter (nearly dead balloons and assorted paper trash) from the Grand Opening the day before, and nobody cleaning it up. I asked if I could. They told me I would have join the volunteers. But only VA volunteer org was at Travis, CA. not lol.
