“I stumbled across this place on my way to another place to get my haircut and I was pleasantly surprised. I said to myself, “this looks like a REAL BARBER SHOP” and it was. I love the old school vibe with the checker board floor and the sports memorabilia all over the walls. It’s a huge space with lots of room to just hang out if that’s your thing. I’m pretty sure the guy that cut my hair was the owner but I didn’t catch his name. I’m guessing he was a Lopez since the sign on the wall says “Lopez Corner”. He was a great guy, old school and easy to talk to. No nonsense and understands the value of customer service. I didn’t realize that he is a cash only shop so I didn’t have enough cash to pay in full. He is so cool, he told me whatever I have is enough. I really appreciated his good nature and great service. The haircut was great, I can’t recommend this shop enough. Although I live over an hour away I’m certain I’ll be back when I need another cut. If you’re not into the foo foo cut and want an old school barber you have to try Percy Avenue Barber Shop.“

Her love of people was so apparent from the first conversation. I see how kindly everyone is treated at the salon. Linda answered all my questions, gave her recommendations and insight on my hair type and lifestyle needs, basically kept me very involved in the whole process. I happen to stop at this salon and made an appointment and I am so happy I did! Not only did Cora do an excellent job in cutting and hi-lighting my hair but her prices are very reasonable! The shop has been updated and is always clean & tidy. The two other hairstylists Tanna & Julie are very experienced, good at what they do, & really nice ladies. Their nail tech stays very busy and does great nails too!

“I went in today for my 13 year old and I to go get our haircuts. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and taken back to our stylist area. We were there early but she walked in almost right after us. We had our appointment with Marcy and let me just say she is FABULOUS! First she did my daughters hair and she did such a great job! She loved it! When it was my turn, I told her just what I kind of wanted (easy to style) and I trusted what she had in mind. Let me just say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Marcy, if you read this, you are great and we love our hair!!! Thank you!!!!“

“I had an appointment with Cookie today and she did an amazing job taking care of my scalp and cutting my long hair to the perfect short length I requested. I booked her "Scalp Treatment Package" and a haircut. I went in with severely irritated and flaky/scaly scalp and long dry hair that was up to about mid-buttocks.

She started off with the scalp treatment, which at first felt tingly and had a slight burn but I took it like a champ since I really wanted the treatment done and I knew the burning was coming from the irritated areas I have been previously scratching at. I did express the tingly/burning to Cookie in which she did say we can stop where we were in the treatment but I wanted/chose to continue and I am so glad that I did. My scalp feels so refreshed and free from dry/flaky/scaly scalp.

After the scalp treatment she started on my haircut in which I asked her for about mid-chest length hair, with a base u-shaped cut (if that makes any sence) along with layers, and face framing. She then dried my hair and styled my hair with curls as we had been talking a lot about how I have not curled my hair in a very long time due how long and thick my hair was that I didn't want to bother taking a lot of time to curl my hair.

Cookie had out done herself. I have a very hard time trusting hairstylist with my hair but I'm glad I trusted Cookie. She was not scissor happy like my past hairstylist. I will be definitely coming back to her to continue with scalp treatments and my haircuts. I also hope to try one of her facials for my skin type.“

But alas a wonderful and charismatic and charming associate offered me assistance. John was delightful and very knowledgeable. John knew what I was looking for even though I had trouble expressing my desire to actually wear more makeup. He took the time to show me how to apply and helped me find the right shades. More importantly he excels at his career choice, and is friendly and genuine. I hope more people find him and get to enjoy the sheer joy of all that he taught me in the world of makeup. When I came home my husband loved my new look so I think John's help was a win at this Ulta today.“
