This was our first experience getting photographed professionally and we were both a little nervous about how it would go. My fiancé and I are very goofy (especially when we feel on the spot) and I honestly had very little hope for having any sweet, quiet moments captured. “I don't know why the reviews are so awful. We went today and Stephanie helped us and took the pictures. I have to say, she was more than patient and accommodated to my different outfit changes for my daughter. The price was ok, the only con I would say is I wish I could get more poses but they don't offer that in their packages. Don't go by the previous bad reviews, I had a very pleasurable experience.“

“We first experienced 'A Cut Above The Rest' with Fly Dance Regionals competition in Dallas, Tx, 2022. The photographer had selected my dancer to receive the Photo Motion award with 3 other competitors. We were so flabbergasted that they noticed her photo in motion presentation. This was the first time anybody ever awarded, in our memory, for this type of recognition. We had switched from Nuvo in 2022 for competition as she lost her original studio director to the covid booster shot. It paralyzed her a month before competition, the day she received it. So we had to find a new coach and a new venue abruptly! Nuvo doesn't take Independents. I couldn't bother her original coach with our nonsense given she was paralyzed with 2 tiny children at home during the covid lockdowns. Our issues were trivial to that situation. We happened to run across a newly founded, boutique competition venue, Fly Dance, in our desperation. They looked fun and friendly! They are. lol They put all sorts of fun events together for maximum fun and dance experience. After we finished the competition and downloaded the photography we were so very pleased. One of my peeves is when the camera person chases dancers, mis-anticipating them. Not this guy. He was perfection in seeing the activity through the lens and captured the most beautiful moments of my daughter through the repertoire, the awards of high gold, title win and then his Photo motion award. He said she was poetry in motion and loved how she got to the floor and back up again with no awkwardness. Such a nice guy! We then had the opportunity to experience this photography company again with Nationals in St Louis last July, but with a different photographer. As we've been very busy, I hadn't downloaded or looked at the still photos. I had only downloaded the videos. The Nationals videos were as superb as Regionals. I'm just now seeing the still photos for both Regionals and Nationals. I'm yet again amazed at their quality. A moving target or not, these folks can take some beautiful photos and videos. Amazing customer service and easy access and download features, as well. I paid for them this time as individuals, but didn't care. They had expired but they were worth it. When I had trouble, they responded IMMEDIATELY. So .. do they ever sleep? Great job, A Cut Above The Rest. You truly are a great team. We are so very thankful of the forever beautiful shots and videos you all took to preserve her best moments in 2022. Bless all your hearts!“
