Not a review of services but a CAUTION: I was in this office for the first time for less than 20 minutes just to accompany a patient when the doctor's loud, carefree and ignorant Plight of the Straight White Male rhetoric came emanating from the open treatment room to the waiting area, mocking and insulting communities to which I and/or my loved ones belong to the degree that I felt nauseous and left the office to wait outside. When called out on his unprofessional behavior and diatribe, he expressed no apology or remorse for his rant and said he was fine with people hearing what he had to say. Great. He's certainly free to express his own views in his practice. Just make a well informed decision when seeking treatment at this office that such attitudes are welcomed and encouraged. We're all free to express our opinions and here's mine: I was a massage therapist for 20 years and I've been in many chiropractic practices both as an employed PT aid and patient and I've never heard anything so absurdly unprofessional and against best practices in a setting that should be welcoming, relaxing and healing. Being POC myself with loved ones in the LGBTQ+ community, I would be suspicious of the bias that might inform my care if I sought treatment at this practice based on the attitude I observed. There are plenty of good licensed practitioners out there. There's no need to waste money, time or well-being at this one. If Yelp allowed me to rate zero stars, I would based on a hostile environment that runs counter to healing.
I saw doctor McNamee a couple times a few years ago and never went back. He's a nice guy but his therapy was weak and waaaay overpriced for what you get. My biggest problem was that the room I got adjusted in wasn't private and there was a older police officer in the room with me who was a total a****** while I was trying to relax. The adjustment was poor and I don't need to listen to some jackass while I'm there to feel better. If you want to pay twice as much than you should for what should be private but isn't, he's your your guy. All I remember is that Sargent A-hole had rude stuff to share and felt it was ok to butt into and comment on stuff I was saying to the doctor. It's really a truly bad idea to put all your patients in the same room together. It reflect very badly on the doctors judgment. Sorry doc, it's why I never came back!!!
Dr. McNamee has been my chiropractor for just about a decade now. I tried acupuncture for the first time while in his care and I find that it works wonders for neck and back pain. Anytime I hurt myself, he's the only chiropractor that I trust with adjustments to my spine. He truly cares about his patients and is not an opportunist! In my experience, within 2 to 3 sessions, I am back to feeling brand new again. He has helped me to become more present in my body and aware of when it needs my attention. He has also taught me stretches and exercises I can do at home to prevent injuries to begin with. Have I mentioned he is not an opportunist? :) I have and will continue to highly recommend him!!
