Dan restored our 100 year old family display case and we could not believe what a beautiful transformation he made. He completely refinished the wood (with wavey glass) and not only did he match the original finish color, he revealed highly detailed brass ornamentation that we did not know existed. He also hand selected perfect fabric piping for the glass. Reasonable cost and great communication. The result is stunning and we could not be happier. We will be asking Dan to restore additional antiques.

I have been looking for a barbershop ? for my son who recently cut his long hair. I found this spot online and we went in to get a haircut corrected. We were desperate to get it fixed. Long story short my son’s haircut came out better than he even intended for it to be. We both loved the vibe in there. Very professional, very nice people and they really know what they are doing. We are beyond grateful to have found a place we are happy about and proud to call it his new barbershop! Brandon helped us out, he’s great and has skills! There were other younger kids there for a cut and they were assisted by other barbers who as well have the skill set. We totally trust and support this business. Thank you !

I used to use a large local plumbing company here in Torrance which I found on Yelp.Although I was happy with the company generally, I eventually got to the point where I would only contact and hire one of the company's employees, Pedro.Since I found out that Pedro now owns Pep's Plumbing, I use him only. He is consistently very skilled, fair, service oriented, and easy to work with. I could not recommend him more highly. Try him out, you won't regret it.

Martha has cut my hair for quite a while now, and she always cuts it the way I want. It's difficult to find a hairstyist who can handle curly hair. But with Martha, I just show her a picture, and she gets my hair to look exactly like it. Recently, we tried something different, and she bleached my hair. It was such a fun experience, and I can't wait to go back for touch-ups and trims. I always recommend her to others, and they always love her! She's kind, efficient, and truly knows what she's doing. I never worry about leaving my curls in her care. I've gone to other salons, and my hair never feels the same as when I leave Martha's.

Booked an appointment with Mike months ago because he's a busy artist. Showed up and he was prepping for the session. He drew the piece and it was to small so he had to resize it but he was very patient. Location is very clean and he ensured to sanitize everything. He allowed me to park in the back! It was a 7 hour session and we took a minor break but I very satisfied with the outcome and I get so many compliments about it! Thank you Michael!

I've been going to this barber on and off for many years. I want to clarify a some things after reading all the reviews. Portside operates on appointment during the week. They're usually are completely booked. You have to call a few days ahead. To get an appointment. On the weekend it's walk in only. Anybody with half a brain. Can figure out that if a barbershop has a really long wait. Or you have a long wait for a cut. That meens that they must be really good. One last thing. Everything I've gone there. I have been warmly greeted. The reviews I've seen are obviously the competition trying to undermine them. Or just spoiled people that think the world revolves around them.
Came in for a pedicure as a walk in during my lunch on a Friday. There were a few other customers ahead of me but I was in and out under 90 min. The lady doing my pedicure was very nice and efficient. My toes are looking cute! I will definitely be back. I wish I came here years ago.

If you are removing acoustic 'popcorn' from ceilings, I recommend that you give Original Richard a chance. The crew is very experienced in the process. There are other companies that specialize in popcorn removal that bid less and told me they would do my 1100 sq. ft. job in just a day. I wanted a good job rather than a fast one. After getting the proposal from Steve at Original Richard and discussing the job I was convinced that Original Richard would do it best. They took 4 1/2 full days, usually with 4 guys, and got it right. They also changed out some ceiling lights to new LED lights. I could not be more satisfied with a one-stop contractor that got it right. I will remember them as 'Right Richard' rather than 'Original'.
