My Oreck upright hadn't had a tune up in about 7 years. It was working well but it was hard to push, even through low pile carpeting. I looked on Yelp and saw that Whittier Small Appliance and Vacuum Repair also repairs lamps so I could get two repairs done at the same location. The technician that helped me was very friendly and gave me a quote for the lamp repair and he said that he would call me with a quote for the vacuum tune up after an inspection. I got a call with a very fair price quote for the vacuum a couple of hours later. By the next day both items were done and ready for pick up. I took my older vacuum in for a quote. Because there were multiple problems and parts are no longer available, Carl recommended getting a new vacuum. He showed me exactly what was wrong and explained why it spelled like it was burning. He was patient and explained clearly.
Vacuum's, Air Purifiers, and extremely hard to find professional small appliance supplies store. It's like finding all the most effective household products you never knew about. We used the green goo to clean the windows on our old yacht and it was the only product that worked after spending hundreds at West Marine.
