We needed some cabinet repairs (some failing hinges and pantry slide-out shelves). Perhaps a job for a good handyman. But finding someone proved very difficult. Many calls led to frustration. Calls not returned, or people too busy, etc.I finally called Escalante Cabinets, expecting that they would be too busy, or the job too small to bother with. But Robert Escalante listened to our needs, and came out to our house the next morning as scheduled, with no obligation. He quickly diagnosed the problem(s) (of course he did; he's a cabinet specialist!) and quoted a very reasonable price for time and materials. He had to return to his shop to cut some wood to measurements and retrieve some hardware. He was back at our house in a couple of hours and completed the repairs with competence and care. Total cost $150, as quoted. Also, we decided to upgrade 18 cabinet hinges to soft-close style. Robert charged us $144 (which is only about 2/3 of what you'd pay, with tax, at Home Depot; so very fair). And his time for installing those: $75.No workman escapes our home without answering many many many questions from my wife; so Robert was underpaid :-).All-in-all, terrific service.
