I'm very frustrated at the fact that your principal doesn't call parents back when there was an assault on my child. I'm glad I can be ignored but had it been his daughter, this situation would have a different outcome I'm assuming. I'm calling the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to report the since the perpetrator gets more empathy than the victim. I hope I get a call Monday from Principal Cunningham about the matter..

Don't put your child in this school district, there have been multiple issues that have come up, and the district won't return any of my calls. The school that my kids attended previously allows bullying, they have no procedure against it. I was told by their guidance counselor, that if I were to keep telling my son to defend him (hitting back after being attacked) my child would then be reprimanded.. Why isn't the bully situation being taken care of? Why was this student still allowed to be in the same classroom setting as my child? As an educator, I have been greatly disappointed by this District. They are amazingly NOT student-centered, but consistently function in ways that are most convenient for them. Instead of functioning as most districts do, there to meet students' and parents' needs, they first meet their own needs. They don't bother to even answer phone calls. As a parent, you are left with absolutely no support, not even from the District office as they have the same practices. They need to correct their practices and be student-focused. After all, they exist and are paid through ADA generated by student attendance! We paid for a yearbook, along with hundreds of other parents, tomorrow...read full review
