If you can't handle Jan at her worst you don't deserve her at her best. When I called for a quote on a custom window Jan was pleasant at first, things took a sharp turn when she asked how old I was I told her my age and she responded with "you were raped as a child" then proceeded to tell me how I needed to be educated in psychology and that art would get me nowhere. She then proceeded to tell me how she herself is a survivor of SA and incest, a lot to unpack in a conversation that I kept trying to direct back to stained glass, she told me I had no business being married and that my children were unloved and I must be an unfit mother, I'd like to add that I hadn't said anything besides "hi, I'd like a quote on a window" then my age. This was ALL JAN ALL THE TIME! Before she hung up on me she said "don't call back until you speak like Hillary Clinton" I don't know what that means but I've been working on my impression to impress what may or may not be the greatest experience of my life. If you can't take the heat stay outta the castle 6/5 stars!

TREAD LIGHTLY. I agree with the all negative comments previously posted. If you do decide to work with Jan, ......and willing to bypass her eccentric behavior and need a psychotherapy session.... by all means, work with Jan.....She does know her stuff and the work was perfectly done for my small project...... albeit painful dealing w/ her. .......get an estimate in writing prior to proceeding with your project and indicate a "not-to-exceed" dollar amount or hours. So, there's no surprises.She quoted me an $89/hour rate for my project (2023 August). NOTE: per Google search, to repair a stained glass lamp shade, you can expect to spend between $200 and $400, depending on what type of cracks or damage are present. Since mine was not a lamp shade, but a 25" x 30" cracked/missing glass framed piece, my repair cost was $565 total.Hope this helps.

Our daughter broke a window pane on her friend's front door by knocking too hard. We worked with Stained Glass Castle to remedy the situation for the family. Jan was super responsive, very quick to get us samples of the glass, provide various options, and was very knowledgeable about the community of Rossmoor. The glass is fixed and it looks perfect. We are so happy.
