I’ve been a faithful client of Kaela’s for the past 5–6 years, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the day I walked into John of Italy in Westlake. I had recently moved to Calabasas from Hancock Park and was determined to keep up my regular routines, including trekking back and forth to Beverly Hills to see Justin Anderson (yes, that Justin Anderson, the blonde guru whose work you’ve likely saved for inspiration). The salon is so clean and refreshing to go to. I love the family feel of it! After years doing my hair blonde with different hair dresses I finally found Nichole! Nicole Young is the best! She’s personable, professional and has a huge talent for blondes! So happy I found her and John of Italy ❤️
Big Larry went here for the first time about a year ago. He was visiting friends here and having the Bentley serviced in Westlake, so he had some free time. Found this place simply by good fortune and glad he did. The site is a bit hard to find, but it is in the same shopping area as Gelson's Market. There is a receptionist who looks a bit worse for wear, and she has earned it since the place is enormous and just running slightly on this side of out of control; it seemed to me that everybody was smiling, so it looked as tho they had their pace precisely right. Now Larry likes a bit of color to wash away the few strands of grey creeping into his flowing mane, and it is tough to find a colorist and stylist who does men's hair, but they hooked me up with a terrific, experienced stylist who did ONLY man-color and she was great. First stripped the old color ( a necessary but often forgotten step), added the proper color, and then a superb cut. Sorry, but this time, you all don't get her name. I'm keeping this one to myself. All while keeping up a string of thoroughly inappropriate commentary that kept me howling with laughter and made the time race by. All for what Larry thought was a very reasonable price, about the cost of two quarts of oil for the DB9. Now, whenever I'm in the area for more than an oil change or layover, I make sure John's is on the list. Certamente molto bene
