“I first went to Performance Guitar when I was a teenager back in the early 1980s. They were on Yucca Street in Hollywood at the time. Even back then, Kenny already had big name clients like Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, and Warren De Martini. Later, he would do custom work for Joe Walsh and Warren Cuccurullo, among many others. In 2021, I brought in my Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster for a setup and fret dress and my Fender American Fretless Jazz Bass for its first setup. Kenny did a great job with both guitars. His attention to detail is unmatched. There is nobody else who works on Fenders like Kenny. He worked alongside Leo Fender at Fender for many years back in the day, so he knows his stuff. Kenny's own line of hand-made custom guitars are highly regarded. Highly recommended.“

They teach my girls all the notes and timing and all the basic and from there they play any notes we or they give them. They only been attending there several months and they've learn alot. I highly recommended taking your children here. The pricing is not as expensive as other schools my daughters have tried to attended.“

“I've dealt with a lot of pro audio dealers over the years. I've had a few experiences with my "go to" venders in the past that put me and my business in very bad situations, or left me feeling like no one cared about my business at all. Vintage King miraculously saved the day each time.

The first time my usual shop was putting in a special order with a company in Germany and I had sessions booked shortly after the expected delivery date (and being a nascent studio, my gear selection was minimal at that time, so I needed everything I had). As the date was approaching the vender suddenly went dark and after MANY calls and emails I finally got lucky and got someone on the phone. They told me the order somehow never was placed on their end and there was nothing they could do to help me in time for my session! My next call was to Vintage King. Expecting a similar answer from them, I called anyway just in case they had something in stock. They didn't. But they somehow did manage to get the equipment I needed from Germany all the way to LA, and then to Boston in time for my session! I still can't believe it.

I have a few more less dramatic situations that made other venders look less than ideal, and once again Vintage King proved why they are the king of customer service. The first time was no accident. To me their name is more like a well earned title. The only reason I had a few other bad experiences with other shops after VK saved the day was that I ended up getting out of the recording business for about 6 years. I had a few small interactions with a local place (trying to support my neighbors), and another pro audio place that had something in stock that I was looking for. Not a mistake I will make again.

Now building up my home rig for personal use, I had an issue with a demo unit I bought from VK. One phone call and I had an email with the return label. I shipped it back the next day and they immediately send the replacement... NEW! I then had big issues with the delivery (to say the least). I called up my rep Bret and he was already on top of it. He had some info that I didn't which he emailed over before I could even ask. Shortly after that I got a phone call from the delivery driver who then left the package. Bret called 30 SECONDS LATER to let me know he just received the notice of delivery and to let him know if there was any issue. Good luck getting that service ANYWHERE else. Thanks to Bret and everyone else at VK! Call Bret for your new gear, you will be glad you did!“

It isn't easy to find male vocal coaches, and so when we won a gift certificate in a school auction for HAM I was prepared for a difficult drive across town and potential disappointment in the coaching. We have been taking lessons every week for two months now and I am so impressed! They accommodated our request for Saturday morning lessons, and he has a male coach who is helping tremendously with navigating his voice change and preparing him for upcoming musical performances. The staff has been friendly and service e has been top notch. It's completely worth the drive!“
