I have been using Edgar as my barber for nearly a decade. When he and Cruz opened up Iconic Barbershop, it was the fourth move to which I followed. They had acquired an extensive clientele over the years and it was time for them to bring their skills and ideas together. All I have to do is say “Edgar (or Cruz when he’s in Tijuana), make me look sexy”. And I let him (or Cruz) do their magic. And I walk away feeling good. They both genuinely care that their clients are more than satisfied with the services they receive. And they hire their skilled employees as an extension of themselves. The vibe of Iconic is a mixture of Hollywood-hip-hop-hipster-gay-cool- and located in the epicenter of the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. Don’t forget to check out the lotions and incense selection in the bathroom. It’s odd that I always feel like saying, “Gee, your restroom smells terrific!”
