The medical group doesn't have enough doctors to see patients in a timely manner, so they are dumped on PAs who don't listen and order unnecessary, unrelated, and very costly labwork. The PA I saw was more concerned about asking whether I was a user of illegal drugs and ordering tests she did not get my consent for than respecting me as an equal, informed partner in my care plan. Three calls to Optum Patient Support and appeals through my insurer are getting no action. I will be following up with the state licensing board.

This place is horrible. They have cancelled my last three scheduled appointments for a basic physical on the day before or the day of the scheduled appointment.....absolutely no consideration for patient's time or needs, just miserable and frustrating trying to schedule a basic appointment for a physical. I would not trust this office at all with a health concern, they can't even figure how how to manage an appointment book.

I called today to make an appointment at the West Hills office. I was told that I HAVE to see the doctor via webcam first and then the doctor will decide if I should go in. WHAT?? I am confused what a doctor’s role is anymore. It used to be that you made an in office visit for an issue or sickness, the doctor would do a physical check, ask some questions, maybe do some lab tests and come up with a potential diagnosis. Is thst too much to expect nowadays? It seems to me that the intent is to double charge for the same issue, first for a web visit and then for a physical one.
