Appointment started on time. Dr. was very kind and explained everything as she went along. I had heard that if you use over the counter readers that this could make you eyes worst. Dr reassured me that this is not true and if I wanted to use them it would be fine. I appreciated her honestly. Plenty of choices on frames and they worked with my budget. As others have said Spark Optometry is within the Walnut Creek Target.

This is my second annual check up at the same location and with a different doctor this time. Both have been fantastic, excellent to communicate with about iHealth and some of the fascinating technology regarding prescriptions. My prescription is really kind of an oddball and both of them seem to genuinely enjoy discussing the science of it, although they were way over my head.I recommend the place highly, convenience, and courtesy are staples with the doctors. Unfortunately, the staff at the Target eyeglass place attached to it are always a little weird.

The optometrist was fantastic. The whole experience was less than great, I felt the staff were friendly and polite BUT they also gave me the feeling that they were commissioned salespeople and rather than offer good-better-best options, in a slightly condescending tone they kept implying that I should just take their higher price recommendations because it’s the optimal choice. Maybe not everyone can afford the ‘optimal’ and why put someone in a belittled position to have to respond in an uncomfortable situation.
