For many years, Yelp has proven to be a treasure trove of the best people we could ever hope for to help our family with real estate, property management, auto repair, pest control, and most recently, Pendleton Tax Services. After an initial phone consultation, we met with Derrick to go over our taxes and come up with a tailored system to keep as much of our money as we possibly could in our hands rather than handing it over to the IRS. We spent a good deal of time together, and ended up with a very sound strategy after covering all the bases. Let's face it..... Taxes are stressful. Early this year, my Corporation Tax Accountant moved and my personal accountant retired. I interviewed ALL of the referrals that they both recommended and something was just not right with each of them. Whether they were inexperienced, forgetful, not prompt, or it just not being a good fit; I just had the most difficult time finding a good match for my company and my family... After exhausting my resources, I saw Derrick on Yelp, emailed him, and he got back to me immediately. He the spent an good 30-45 minutes that day. Already I was impressed. I went to his office a couple days later and my gut was correct. This guy knows his stuff, but more importantly gives you his time to explain the nuances of your specific situation and gives recommendations based on your goals. Derrick is not a "cookie cutter" accountant. He handled both my business taxes and my personal taxes promptly, but more importantly streamlined all of the information back to me in a way that I could understand.
