Another great haircut for my son! Also, the CAL receiver was waiting to get his cut done and he was chatting it up with my 3yo daughter - it was the cutest thing ever (yay, go bears!!!!). The reason I'm sharing that is because you know this is great barber shop if you have CAL students from Berkeley coming here for a cut (and because the line is always out the door!). Even with a line, they're so fast and efficient. Thanks for cutting my son's hair and for making him ready for his professional baseball photos! So cute!!!
Upon leaving my previous review, the business owner promptly contacted me. He was genuine and sincere in seeking what the problems were, then immediately went into solution mode. He offered to refund the cost of my cut (which I refused as he is in business to make money), however, I did take him up on making it right and letting him cut my hair on my next trip, free of charge (I left him a tip). Sure enough, the cut is top notch. During the cut, he explained the pricing scale, which made sense. I did let him know that all I wanted was a military style cut, not too high on the sides, beginning with a zero guard. My wife was very complimentary on the new cut, stating that it looks like I've found my new barber. I'd have to agree. Thank you Sonam.
Dimaggio's is indeed the real deal for a quality barber shop. I'm generally not too picky about my haircuts, but I tend to pay attention to the small details and I had nothing short of a perfect experience for a walk in appointment. Quick and easy during the early afternoon, though note Cash/Check only. Premises is also kept pretty pristine. I didn't catch my barber's name, but she was extraordinarily proficient and thorough. Typically I always have at least a few sharp tugs due to my thick hair or light nicks or scratches with a razor from places I've gone to before. Here? Smooth as silk and done in a jiffy; literally almost could not tell I had a blade shaving on the back. Also despite not having a wash, I was left remarkably clean by the end and without any irritation. Literally a whole new level of experience for me. Definitely going to be back when my schedule lines up right!
