From the moment I sat in her chair, she was warm and welcoming--the only stylist who didn't want to chop off all my hair but instead took the time to teach me about my curls. She really walked me through how to care for them, and I left feeling confident and excited, knowing I could actually maintain my curls on my own. Before seeing Denae, I flew all the way to LA to see a super popular stylist, but that experience was the complete opposite. At long last, I've discovered someone who truly understands how to manage my hair. I've visited several hairstylists in the past, all claiming to be proficient in curly hair, but it wasn't until I met Denae that I found someone who could truly deliver. With Denae, I've had both curl cuts and colors, and she has miraculously rejuvenated my curls. I must admit, I wasn't well-versed in caring for curly hair until I met Denae. She takes the time to educate you step by step on the proper care and maintenance of your curls. If you have curls, do them a favor and honor them with Denae. I've been to several curl experts and my haircut with Denae is far and away the best I've gotten. I felt like she heard what I wanted and delivered it perfectly. I've never been able to walk out of a salon without being a total frizz ball (even with a great cut and styling. There was never enough product for my hair. Or it was crunchy and the curls didn't clump.). Denae had me out the door with perfectly defined curls. I wish I had somewhere to go other than my couch. I woke up this morning and they're still on point. Excited to see her for color! She's worth the wait.
