We paid these guys $5k to put together a plan to finish our garage. They said there would be no problems with their plan as an ADU. We said we were worried as another ADU already on the property. Carlsbad didn't allow the plan due to the additional ADU, and they said there was nothing they could do. Well, they should have known this prior to taking us as a client. They could have given us a refund. If you are looking to hire a designer, keep looking for a more reputable firm.
