For context, I have very long, dark hair, and it is very thick. It had been about 8 years since it had been dyed so it was very healthy. I wanted it to stay that way but also wanted to lighten it for the summer.

Sarah suggested this style because it would still look natural, keep my hair healthy, and be easy to grow out, (my hair grows uberfast). But it would still give me the change I was craving after rocking my natural color for almost a decade.

I was shocked when she revealed the final results to me. In the past when I would go to a salon, my hair always looks slightly orange and would feel extremely damaged (and this is after paying top dollar to go to the ‘experts’). This is part of the reason I just gave it up for so long.

Plus, I would always leave these ritzy places with damp, unstyled hair because the stylist would take soooo long, the salon would be closing, and everyone, myself included, would just be wanting to get the hell outta there.

Sarah, having been told my hair was thick, long, and dark, told me point blank coloring it would be an all day project and booked me for the first appointment of the day.

While it did take 6hours, we were both prepared for it, the time flew by, (for me at least lol), and for the first time ever, I left the salon with full dry, styled, GORGEOUS hair.

I am in love with the color, it still feels healthy, and I still feel like my natural self, just a bit more summery

When I got home, my daughters looked at me wide eyed and just said “Wow!” I wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad wow, but the next thing they asked was if Sarah did kids because they both wanted hair like mine!
