We hired Optimum Seismic in 2020 to evaluate our 2 story apartment building in Pasadena in regard to Pasadena’s new Seismic Retrofit Ordinance requiring that such structures be reinforced. They performed this evaluation with the understanding of the requirements and with our hope that we could exempt the building due to previous work done in the early 90s. We expected the city would still require the work, but Optimum was quick and professional, accumulated all information necessary, and proved after a plan check review that the 90's work met city requirements. They did my soft-story earthquake retrofit. I’d highly recommend them. They were easy to work with and were very knowledgeable. They handled everything, permits, forms, even posting all required notices to my tenants, all I had to do was pay the invoices. It was very easy on my end.
