“Due to a last minute logistical error, we took our furry babies to Venice Dog Boarding. It was our first time leaving our babies here so we were very apprehensive, but from the moment we met Jan, my wife felt so much better and our dogs were very relaxed. Our babies were well taken care of, Jan was very nice and took very good care of them. You can tell she loves dogs. We will definitely be leaving our furry babies in her care from now on.“

So thankful for Matt and Anna Maria. Matt has been a life saver with behavior modification with my sweet girl Cocoa. Cocoa is a hyper-vigilant rescue pit, with a few social challenges. Matt not only was able to with patience and professionalism, earn her trust, and help with her behaviors, he was also able to teach me, ways to manage when she and I are in the wild. He is very hands on, and teaches key fundamentals when handling a dog, and working with the world around them.

I literally on multiple occasions have been able to handle situations without panic and stress due to Matt’s training. Cocoa also has been managing her stress better as well. You are equipped with the knowledge literally after just one session, the most rewarding thing is seeing the transformation in Cocoa.
She has come such a long way.

“I could not love A bark Idea more. We have done a few stay including board and train the first time. The team did such a great job with our puppy that our family joked that they gave us back the wrong puppy because this one was so well behaved. I brought my stubborn, energetic, freakishly athletic bulldog puppy (who I wouldnt trade for anything) with leash reactivity in and they never gave up on him (or me). “Highly recommended! I had the puppy blues and was completely overwhelmed with where to start and what to do. Our puppy was very difficult to walk, biting, and all around puppy-like (of course!) but it was leaving me overwhelmed. We signed up for Puppy Kindergarten and it made a huge difference. By the end of the session you have all the tools you need to keep the training going on your own. For me, it was helpful to have accountability with the class environment. It also helped me reframe the way I saw her and all my frustrations. After all, she's just a puppy and she didn't know what I wanted her to do! “Our favorite doggy daycare! We left our pups to board here during a long vacation and they had a great time. We loved the pupdates we got everyday and enjoyed seeing our dogs having a blast on their instagram stories. Ian and his staff make us feel so comfortable leaving our dogs with them. We rescued a 10 month old puppy this spring and added her to our family with two other dogs and a cat.

Within the first week we discovered our new member was extremely anxious (she escaped once and was gone for hours), was up through the night and not housebroken. This prompted us to connect with Dee where we collaborated on our goals together, and set our focus on reducing anxiety, potty and crate training, and teaching hand signals to keep our pup from bolting out the door.

Two months later, we are THRILLED to report that our puppy’s anxiety levels are down dramatically, she is 99% potty trained, fully crate trained and sleeping through the night and not a single attempt at an escape. An added bonus is seeing the benefit all of this has had on our other dogs and how quickly the puppy and cat were able to integrate.

We did our meetings with Dee over FaceTime, starting at 3 to 4 times a week, and naturally decreasing as Dee’s program was so effective. Dee is extremely knowledgeable, provides clear instruction, and has a way of explaining situations from a dog’s perspective that makes it easy to understand the interventions.

Scheduling time with her was easy. We greatly appreciated her being firm about following guidelines because it kept us on track. However, she is also understanding and flexible when we expressed needing adjustments based on our own lifestyle or goals for our family.

We have a calm and cohesive family and are beyond grateful for Dee who was integral in this process.“

“Hi! I have a 2 year old shih tzu who struggled with some separation anxiety but after a rather traumatic moving experience her anxiety got even worse. Amber was so helpful and such a great source of support. We did one on one training sessions weekly and she provided great tips and tools to help us get back to a place where she now feels safe and doesn't bark when I leave the house. “I can't believe I never wrote a review about my wonderful experience with Stacie! It has been about over a year and half since our last training session. I have a now 11 year old dog named Shin-Shin who we got as a puppy and was not trained properly. He was aggressive towards every living thing that wasn't a main family member but I knew he was a sweetie inside and wanted others to experience his kinder side. I took 8 training sessions and while he may not be perfect being as his old habits have stuck a bit, he's much more manegeable. My partner, who doesn't live with me, has admitted that he's like a different dog now. Before Shin-Shin made my partner nervous and always looked ready to attack but can now cuddle with him. It takes a lot of patience and observation to understand a dog and surely a lesson learned for any future pets I may have in the future. Stacie was so easy and friendly to work with utilizing positive and fun reinforcements only! She truly cares about the wellbeing of the relationship between the dog and human. Would go back to her in an instant if needed, highly recommend!!!“

“Kevin is an incredible trainer and coach for pets and their people. He has helped me in raising four incredible dogs since 1990. He also provides boarding services and hosts socialization classes at his family's home. He even used to own and operate a pet store in West LA, so he has great recommendations on what food, toys and supplies are best for your furry family members. Always available to answer even the most simple questions. Kevin teaches puppy lessons, a series of obedience classes including best walking practices, and provides even more advanced skills training classes. I recommend him 100%.“
