“Historically I’ve had a really hard time finding someone who can cut my hair properly. It’s really thin and tends to look flat and frizzy. For years I’ve been growing it as I always dreamed of a big mane of hair. Sitting in slims chair I told her all of my fears and anxiety and she was kind and listened. I just had my second strict and allowed her to do some long layers (which scared me to death) let me say wow! Slim gave me the best haircut of my life. So easy to style and or not style and looks fresh, sexy and awesome.

“My son has been with Omar's since age 3. My son is now 6 years old and remains a loyal customer of Omar's Barber Company. My son was always very afraid of the barbershop despite his experiences all being pleasant and trauma free. He would cry, scream, tantrum, and get out of the chair; leaving little to no hope for me and a very hard task for his barber. We started with Tony 3 years ago. Despite Tony's amazing work and dedication; my son didn't adjust and we changed to another barber. Barber two, a very nice female (forgot her name), did an amazing job and his first haircut with her was a breeze; leaving me and Tony shocked . On haircuts number two and three, he lost his cool and made it very hard for her. Omar noticed the hardship I was experiencing every trip to the shop and suggested we try with barber James. James worked on his 5th haircut I believe and like everyone else was in for a ride. Due of my son's outbursts, 30 minute haircuts were taking 1+ hours to complete. Despite all the tantrums, outbursts, and creative ways to cut; James remained empathetic of our plight and focused on our goal. James and I worked diligently for about a year and a half before we finally saw a breakthrough (thanks Omar! ). Despite all the chaos and lack of cooperation, James has never cut or made mistakes on his haircut and ALWAYS delivers a fresh, crisp and beautiful cut. James is a very patient, understanding, and professional barber. His expertise shows with how he deals with and treats his clientele; especially my son. He's accommodating to us (changed his kid slot appointment to an hour instead of 30 minutes). Despite the time and dedication its taken James and Omar to achieve this success; they've never charged me an extra fee; never turned us away or denied service; and always accommodated us to ensure the shop was comfortable while he was in the chair. From music, to shows, to Cali girl; they tried it all to ensure my son feels comfortable and welcomed. He's completed three very successful haircuts this year with NO tantrums, tears or outbursts. As always, he's excited to be compensated with his hot wheels car at the end of every cut. Today we walked out with a beautiful NYC inspired fade and my son LOVES his haircut!
