Amazing place to train and study Jiu Jitsu. They have created a real sense of community in a clean and safe environment. Have sent multiple friends and family and everyone loves it here.
I trained here for about a year before I moved. It's always anxiety provoking to try a new gym specially as a female not knowing anyone. Coach Jose, who teaches the fundamentals class, was so friendly and ultimately that's what convinced me to join. I am now at a different gym closer to where I moved, but they don't really teach fundamentals, so I absolutely appreciate my time spent at 10th planet Van Nuys. I miss y'all! :(
As an older dude who'se always wanted to try BJJ I was always hesitant because my job depends on me being physically intact. now my only regret is that I didn't walk into this gym sooner. Everyone (leadership most of all) are nothing but friendly, caring, genuinely invested in the members well being and progress, and really know BJJ (history and up to date). As a result the members all share the same values and are all dedicated to taking care of each other, progressing together, and learning from one another. Best group of people i've ever met. BJJ doesn't save lives but the people at the gym doing BJJ together save each other's lives.
