10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Van Nuys is a welcoming and supportive gym focused on no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, as well as offering classes in Muay Thai, MMA, wrestling, and kids programs. The facility is clean and well-maintained, providing a great and safe environment for learning. Members appreciate the friendly and caring leadership, who are genuinely invested in everyone's well-being and progress. The community is described as the best group of people, dedicated to supporting each other and progressing together. Coach Jose, who teaches the fundamentals class, is so friendly. Newcomers find a real sense of community and a fun supportive environment. It is an amazing place to train and study Jiu Jitsu, and is recommended to anyone looking to learn BJJ.

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu is a non-traditional system of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu developed by Eddie Bravo. After earning his black belt under Jean-Jacques Machado, Bravo focused his Jiu-Jitsu on developing a clinch based system without the gi, to better improve its application in mixed martial arts competition. Since then, no-gi grappling has exploded across the globe with organizations such as the Eddie Bravo Invitational, Polaris, and Kasai Pro, pushing no-gi submission grappling to the next level.
