After experiencing a no crank, stuck in park, and zero communication condition with the drive related modules in our 2007 Mercedes-Benz, we assumed something went astray with the vehicles ECU. Pulled it out and shipped it to the guys at High Tech, who confirmed the ECU had in fact gone bad. We ended up sourcing a good used doner ECU, and they were able to clone it with the data they systemically extracted from the bad ECU. Received the replacement ECU back via FedEx overnight, plugged it in, cleared all the pending codes that were present from the initial conditions, and the car started right up! No programming, no codding, no nothing! The ECU was completely plug and play. Everything, including High Tech's service, the doner ECU and shipping both ways, cost us less than a quarter of what it would have cost for the dealer to perform the job with a new replacement ECU.
