They did an excellent job cutting my 2 year-year old grandson hair. He doesn't like me even brushing his hair. He cried, but the barber kept talking to him, and showing him himself in the mirror. I was very surprised 😮 that this little boy who doesn't like getting his hair brushed let anyone cut his hair.
Where do I start...I truly love the energy and professionalism of this barbershop. Sam is amazing. I am very indecisive when it comes to my hair. I was very pleases with my sleek, sassy cut. He was very patient with me and took his time to meet my needs. I also loved the fact he had personality. It's not often that you are able to come inside a men dominating barbershop and feel comfortable. I'm a satisfied customer and will be returning soon.
I needed a haircut and I needed it quickly. I picked up my daughter from school and walked into a Supercuts, but the wait and the $17 cost for a haircut made me leave. I remembered there was a spot near my home that looked like a barbershop-type place, so I stopped there with my daughter to get my haircut. Whip It Up!!!!!!! I walked in and it was like the barbershop scenes from Coming to America......a few 30-40 year old guys, 1 older guy, and couple of younger guys all telling stories and taking jabs at each other.....in very animated fashion.....old school barbershop. I appreciated that they noticed that I had a 5 1/2 year old girl with me, and back and forth banter was generally without swearing. I sat down and was in a chair in about 10 minutes. I sat in Brandon's chair and he was very nice and made sure to try to understand the cut I wanted......flat top, #1 on the side. Being Mexican/Caucasian, my hair is straight....not to mention the 2 terrible "cowlicks" on my front hairline........and I could tell that this barbershop catered to a mostly black clientele. Brandon seemed confident that he knew what I was looking for and started clipping me up. I noticed after a few minutes that none of the barbers used scissors, which sort of seemed strange to me. They all used only clippers, but I could tell they did very good work. Brandon was very thorough and even though he didn't really get the idea of how flat I wanted the top to be, he made a concerted effort and the cut, or clip, I received, was top notch. I would definitely go back to see Brandon. Next time maybe I'll take a picture of a flattop for him to go by. It was a very entertaining experience and 2 bucks cheaper than Supercuts.
