I accidentally found this place. I have been looking for some really good nachos for awhile. They have them only thing no beans. Homemade chips, tasty pico and salsa. Reasonably priced. I prefer melted jack cheese they have it.
I have been patronizing this barber shop since the mid-1990's and will continue to do so. I have used all of the barbers in the shop, but Bessie is the one used most often. I did have some difficulty with her initially because she would not follow my instructions, so I'd use someone else. Because I tens to be a generous tipper, she finally got it right, and I do not even have to tell her what I want anymore. Hint: anyone of the barbers that you are going to a wedding, funeral, etc., and you'll really get a great haircut.
Joe the Barber is a Vallejo Institution for the man of color. Usually the more mature man of color. The younger set have moved off to "Whip it Up," and other locations. My husband has been coming here for a few years, after my son sent him here. Bessie was the one that hooked him up, the only problem, she'd do his hair the way she wanted it. She'd ask him how he wanted it, and proceed to doing it the way she wanted. I thought I was the only one with that privilege. He's moved on now, got a little tired of the long wait and having to come back to have some one fix him up after Bessie.
