I could not ask for more in a dentist with Dr. Alex Chaney. His novacaine shots don't hurt! In my decades of dental care, he is the first dentist that gives practically painless shots. He is very thorough in his assessment with extra emphasis on patient teaching preventative care. He made a mouth piece for me that has decreased the amount of migraine headaches. Christina their dental hygienist has excellent assessment skills and is big on encouraging patients to maintain their dental hygiene. Dr. Chaney is extremely knowledgeable and full of dental information, down to the biochemistry and science of teeth and gums. He always tries to use the latest technology to help his patients with dental care. His staff is pleasant and welcoming. It always feels like family when visiting there. I'd recommend him highly to anyone.
My experience with this dentist started because I was having tooth pain and I hadn’t established a dentist in Vallejo yet. I had tried two different places and they hadn’t worked out. (They were both horrible). The doctor called me a couple minutes after I had left a message and was able to schedule me in a few hours later. I ended up needing a root canal and he was able to start it right away. A coworker recommended Dr. Chaney. My experience has been that he is very thorough. He explained to me each step as he was doing each procedure and why, this helped with my anxiety. If I needed more pain medication in a spot, he would add it.
